Scheduled

Reason for Notice: Waystar would like to remind Medicare providers of the upcoming CMS dark days. CMS will observe a "Grey Day" on Wednesday, July 1, and will be unavailable starting Thursday, July 2, 2026 through Sunday, July 5, 2026. The Dark Days are scheduled to accommodate the July 2026 Release.

Starting as early as Wednesday, July 1, 2026, providers may experience disconnects and limited availability while working in DDE/FISS (Medicare DDE) when accessing the Common Working File for claim status.
The outage will result in claim and processing delays for the following services:

Medicare DDEClaim submission from File Transfer Services - System Availability upon Medicare
ContractorAccess and submission for CMN and Same or Similar - System Availability upon Medicare Contractor
Claim submission and claim status updates in Medicare Claims Editor (Including NOEs and NOAs created in Claims Editor)
Reporting and claim status updates from Medicare Analytics
Audit and Denial Management
Medicare esMD transmissions - Processing of files and transactions will resume once the Medicare system is available.

Please note delays will occur throughout the week of July 6th as we process any pending submissions for claims and claim batches submitted during the dark days.

Client Action Required: We strongly encourage providers to submit any timely files/claims prior to the Dark Days, preferably prior to Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
