We want to make you aware of an issue that has been identified with Aetna’s Medicare Advantage eligibility responses that may impact coverage results you are seeing.

Aetna is currently experiencing a known issue where eligibility transactions are incorrectly returning active coverage for patients who are inactive or no longer covered.

This is not an issue with Waystar’s platform or processing. Our systems are accurately relaying the eligibility information as it is returned by Aetna.

Our team is actively engaged with Aetna and their EDI partners to gather additional details and to understand timing for resolution. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
